Knoll Farm Riding School Program: Knoll Farm has approximately
25 school horses. These horses vary from beginner types to advanced
dressage or jumping. For over thirty years we have taught and
trained thousands of students, many going on to compete nationally
and even internationally.
Whether
you are a first time rider, getting back into riding after some
time off, wishing to ride for pure pleasure or wishing to be serious
about competition, we have horses and staff to suit your needs.
We start teaching children as young a six, horse care and how
to ride as well as those in pursuit of the equine sport later
in life.
Our
instructors are capable of teaching at various levels from beginner
through advanced in dressage, hunt seat equitation, and jumpers.
Your progress, as in all sports, depends a great degree on your
individual ability and the time and resources you have to dedicate
to riding lessons. We offer private, semi-private and group lessons
in order to suit your needs.
If
you have any questions or would like to schedule a lesson please
contact the Knoll Farm office between the hours of 10:00 a.m.
to 7:00 p.m. If no one is in the office to take your call, please
leave a message and we will get back to you. We are open seven
days per week and closed only for Christmas day, New Year's Day,
Thanksgiving Day and Easter Sunday. Click on our educational link
above for more info on all our school opportunities.
Horse
Shows: Knoll Farm holds at least three USDF, USEF, LIDCTA Dressage
shows per year. Knoll Farm riders also travel with their trainers
to local and AA rated Hunter/Jumper and Dressage shows.
Leasing
Knoll Farm School Horses: After you have become a regular student
at Knoll Farm, horses are available for rental to take to horse
shows. It is advisable for your trainer to accompany you to a
show. Your trainer is familiar with show rules and can help you
and your horse from making costly mistakes, as well as giving
you confidence and support.
We
provide the opportunity for you to lease one of our school horses.
Horses may be leased outright from month to month or you may participate
in a partial lease. Partial leases allow you to ride a particular
horse (on your own) three days per week while we will continue
to use that horse in our school. Leasing a school horse is the
perfect prerequisite to owning your own horse.
